TITLE: Volunteer
CLASSIFICATION: Volunteer
REPORTS TO: Principal, Director, Supervisor or Designee
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Princial, Director, Supervisor or Designee, the volunteer agrees as follows:
- Volunteer agrees to provide voluntary services to the School. Voluntary services are services provided by a Volunteer to the School without compensation (salary or wages). A Volunteer is not considered an employee of the School and may not provide voluntary services for the same work that they are paid to do by the School.
- The School, in recognition that volunteers can make many valuable contributions to the students and educational programs of the School, agrees to accept Volunteer's services and provide a work assignment to the Volunteer. When assigning work, the School agrees to consider the following factors:
- All voluntary services shall be used for non-hazardous activities where public services, special projects, or School operations are improved and enhanced.
- A Volunteer will not be required to perform any work which the Volunteer is not adequately trained to do, does not feel comfortable doing, or is not willing to do.

Volunteer may not transport children or be assigned to operate machinery, equipment, or vehicles (such as power shop tools, lawn mowers, tractors, or buses).

A Volunteer shall not assist or perform any activities that are hazardous or that may place them in a life-threatening situation.

Volunteer agrees that he/she is physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities listed in the above paragraph and the School may require a physical examination at any time when there is a question regarding the Volunteer's physical ability to perform the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.

Volunteer agrees and gives consent to the School to conduct a fingerprint and background check on Volunteer. Volunteer agrees and gives consent to release any information requested in connection with this fingerprint and background check. (Complete appropriate forms)

Volunteer agrees to be subject to and follow all applicable laws, School policies, and regulations. The School reserves the right to refuse a Volunteer's service if that Volunteer violates any applicable law, School policy and/or regulation.

The Volunteer will sign an Agreement which is terminable at will without cause by either party.

The Agreement expire after a year unless otherwise extended.
